What is User Testing?

A user testing it is literally what the name says it is a user testing something but in this case it’s an online user testing.

Normally User Testing pays about £10 per website tested which would take up to 20 minutes. Not bad, is it? No.

The goal with user testing is they give you a task and a website or app and you make a video talking about the website and what you think of it.

You really need to give an honest review like what you expected, if you like it or not or find what they asked you on the task.tasks completed

User Testing pays $10 a pop for testing websites. A test usually takes about 15-20 minutes.

The purpose is for a website owner to watch someone, who is new to their site, try to navigate it.

The value that the site owner gets by watching an actual user experience is worth a ton, but $10 isn’t a bad pay-out.

Websites For User Testing

On UserTesting you can earn on average £10-£15 for 10 to 20 minutes of work.

To become a test you just need to submit your email address and apply.

Before any assignments you need to take a sample test and watch a video made by someone else shows how it’s done.

It is an international website and to cash out the money you just need a PayPal account.

Enroll was created by the Zurb team.

It’s a design and development agency that does great work so it’s a great site to work with and been working with big brands along the years.

Enroll has a better feature than most testing websites. Enroll can be used in multiple devices such as phone, tablet or computer.

Similar to UserTesting you will need to have a PayPal account if you want to cash your money out.

They have shorter tests but they pay less. In here they have different length times for tests.

This website it’s alright because you can earn about $10 in only 15 minutes, not that bad as for a normal job you get less that for a whole hour.

But they will ask you to pass on their qualification test.

The qualification test is a sample test that proves that you understand the process and their requirements and rules.

Once you qualify you will have test opportunities in your email.

Payments are made twice a week by PayPal.

UserFeel pays $10 for each test.

All you need to do is apply, take a sample test, and be approved.

When your sample test has been approved you will start to receive your assignments in your email, so you better be aware of your email every day.

The payments are made via PayPal at the end of each week.

If you’re interested in more than testing websites then Userlytics it’s the choice for you.

You can give your feedback on applications, prototypes projects, and with websites.

I’ve seen this being recommended all over the place now and it honestly seems like a very legit way to make money. Much like online surveys, businesses actually find this kind of information very useful. And the great thing is, it seems like this pays out much higher! The only issue I see is the ratio between companies and testers. If there are too many testers, the demand may be way too low and you’ll end up with perhaps one test every month. But I will go check it out and see what it’s like right now.

User Testing is getting bigger in the marketing and for me is way better than surveys and more interactive. Done it for a while and could earn easily £200 per month.

I have user tested, and it really is a simple process.  You offer so many of the good sites out there to try, and it’s a quick process to get approved and up and running.  It’s nice, when starting out online, to have an avenue to make a little bit of extra money, and you’re right, it pays more than most jobs pay in 15 minutes what they pay for an hour of your time.  Super exciting for those who are retired or looking for a little extra money without having to go out and get a part-time job.  Great job.

This post is so thorough it opened my eyes to all sorts of information I wasn’t aware of! I can tell you I have taken some great insights from this post.

Being a full-time blogger working from home, information on user testing  and these websites you shared means a lot to me. Although I never tried user testing I got inspiration and motivation from your post and I am going to give it a try.

    Thanks a lot for sharing!

    Much Success!
